Eastside Track Club Finishes 20th in Club National Meet
Portland, Dec. 4 – The Eastside Track Club men’s team finished 20th out of 41 teams at the USATF Club National Meet. Leading the team was the strong front three of Eric Griffiths, Brian Crowl, and Tim Riley. Rounding out the team was Mike Anderson, Dallas Kinch, Pat McCurry and Ben Gall. The three women competing also made a good showing, and finished well. Andrija Barker-McCurry ran an excellent race, especially considering that is was her first race in 7 years. EOU Alum, Sean Nesbitt also competed in the meet for the Boulder Running Company Team. |

Eastside Track Club To Compete In USATF Club Nationals
The newly formed Eastside Track Club is set to compete December 4 in Portland at the USATF Club national championships. Most of the athletes are alumni of the Eastern Oregon University Cross Country and Track programs, and all of the athletes attended EOU. Competing in the meet are Mike Anderson, Brian Crowl, Ben Gall, Eric Griffiths, Dallas Kinch, Pat McCurry (Founder), Tim Riley, and Sean Williams. Two women alumni will be competing for eastside track club as well Jessyca Barker and Kelsey Jones. Andrija Barker-McCurry will also compete this weekend. |

Eastside Track Club Kicks off Track Season
Nampa, ID Jan. 15- Eastside TC picked up win as Sean Williams took honors in the mile in 4:31. It was small early season field, but it was a good start to the track season. Williams will be back in action again in Boise on January 22. The following weekend Brian Crowl, Eric Griffiths, Tim Riley, and Williams will be part of an outstanding field in the 3000m at Boise State.

Crowl Finishes Second in Athletes.com Invite 3000m, Anderson Competes at UW
Nampa, ID Jan 29 - Stepping onto the track for the first time this year Brian Crowl ran 8:49.04 over 3000m and finished in second place behind David Fluckiger of Albertson College. Eastside member Ben Gall also competed in the event and finished third in 9:00. On Sunday Mike Anderson ran the 3000m at the University of Washington Open #2, and finished 9:12. The previous weekend Sean Williams finished 15th in a pretty good field in 4:25.60. Next weekend the Eastside Track Club may be back action for a DMR, before heading to Vancouver, Washington for the USATF Cross Country Championships on February 12. |

Eastside TC Finishes 3rd in DMR, Next Up USATF Cross Country Champs
Nampa, ID Feb 4 - The Eastside Track Club was in action Friday night competing in the Distance Medley Relay. Team members Pat McCurry, Pat Egelus, Sean Williams and Brian Crowl finished 3rd in the United Heritage Invitational in 10:19.41 behind Azusa Pacific and Boise State. Splits for the race were 3:07, :52, 1:59, and 4:19.
The Eastside Men and Women will be in action again next weekend in Vancouver Washington for the USATF Cross Country Championships. The men’s team will compete as a team in the 4k on Saturday with members Mike Anderson, Brian Crowl, Pat Egelus, Eric Griffiths, Pat McCurry, Tim Riley and Sean Williams. Crowl will then double back in the 12k on Sunday. For the women’s team Jessyca Barker will be competing in the 8k on Saturday and Andrija Barker-McCurry will run the 4k on Sunday. |

Eastside TC Gets Strong Performances at USATF Cross Country Nationals
Vancouver WA, Feb. 12-13— The Eastside Track Club was in action this past weekend at the USATF Cross Country National Championships. Leading the weekend off Andrija Barker-McCurry was the first female finisher in the 4k community run Saturday morning. Later in the day the men’s team competed in the open 4k race and finished 3rd in the team race just 11 points behind the winner The Farm Team Inc. Brian Crowl lead the way finishing 39th and the rest of the team was close behind, as there was on a 25 second 1 - 5 gap. Eric Griffiths finished 44th, Tim Riley was 47th, Pat McCurry 52nd, Sean Williams 53rd, and Mike Anderson 76th. New member Pat Egelus also competed in the race and finished 66th. Brian Crowl then came back and also competed in the 12k championships on Sunday. He ran a good race moving up throughout to finish in 38th. Overall it was a good showing for the Eastside Track Club.

Gall To Run Half Marathon
Ben Gall will be the next Eastside member to lace ‘em up as he is set to run the Non Leap Year Half Marathon in Olympia Washington on February 27. Ben has had some really good training, and is ready to have a good performance in this race. |

Riley Picks Up Win At Vandal Indoor
Moscow ID, Feb 18— Tim Riley won the 3000m race Friday night at the Vandal Indoor in a time of 9:00.14, while the second place finisher was 13 seconds back. It was a good win for Tim in his first track race of the season. This is the third time that Riley has won the 3000m event at this meet. |

Gall Wins Non Leap Year Half Marathon
Olympia WA, Feb 27— Ben Gall won the Non Leap Year Half Marathon on Sunday in a personal best time of 1:12:45. He completely dominated the race winning by over 7minutes, and negative split the out in back course by 40 seconds. Ben said he felt good during the race, however the mile markers were not very accurate making it difficult to determine what kind of pace he was running. The next race Ben has planned is the Shamrock run 15k in Portland in a few weeks.
Other Eastside members competing soon are Brian Crowl and Tim Riley, who will be hitting the indoor track one last time this year looking to post fast times at the University of Washington. |

Egelus Completes Pentathlon At McDonalds Open Moscow ID, Feb 19 - Pat Egelus competed in the pentathlon at the University of Idaho’s McDonalds Open and finished with a score of 2624. His strongest events were the 1000m with a time of 2:33 and the long jump, 17’7”. In Pat’s words “I was pleased with my long jump and the 1000, but everything else there is room for improvement. I think I could take a crack at 3000 if I worked on a few things.” Egelus attempted the pentathlon to help out a teammate at Eastern Oregon University, and did most of the event without working on them. |

Eastside Track Club Wraps Up Indoor Season
Brian Crowl wrapped up the under cover track season for the Eastside Track Club by running a seasons best in the 3000m in a time of 8:37.37. Several members competed indoors this season and all performed well and brought exposure to the Eastside Track Club. Some of the highlights of the season were Tim Riley’s win in the 3000m at the Vandal Indoor, the DMR’s close finish at the United Heritage Invite, and countless other races.
Watch out for the Eastside Track Club during the upcoming outdoor season, as many members have been training well and will be looking to post fast times and compete well. |

Riley Wins 10,000m As Eastside Track Club Kicks Off Outdoor Season
Salem OR, April 1—2,The Eastside Track Club started the outdoor season on the right foot as Tim Riley won the 10,000m at the Willamette Invite Friday night. Pat McCurry took Riley, Eric Griffiths, and Brian Crowl through 5k in 15:18. Riley then out dueled Griffiths over the final 400m to pick up the win in 30:36.38, which is his personal best. Also in the 10,000m Brian Crowl matched his best time finishing 6th in 31:05.72. In other action, Kelsey Jones ran a lifetime best in the 1500m finishing 5th in 4:51.14. The final Eastside athlete was Sean Williams who finished 13th in the 1500m in 4:03.30. He also ran the 800m in 2:04.19. Next weekend Brian Crowl, Tim Riley, Pat McCurry, Ben Gall and Kelsey Jones will be running a road 5k in Ontario Oregon. It should be a nice little duel with the Greater Boise Running Club. |

Men Take 4 of Top 7, Jones Wins Women’s Division at Hell’s Gate 5k
Ontario OR, April 9— Pat McCurry lead the Eastside Track Club as they took 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th place in the Hell’s Gate 5k. McCurry was followed by Tim Riley, Brian Crowl, and Ben Gall. The race was won by Travis Armstrong of Greater Boise in 14:17. McCurry covered the course in 14:35, Riley in 14:48, Crowl in 15:13 with Gall just a few seconds back. On the women’s side Kelsey Jones won the race in 17:41 winning by seven seconds. She beat a good field which included former D1 runner Melinda Campbell, and the current Idaho State XC Champion.

McCurry Wins Robie Creek Half Marathon
Boise ID, April 16— Pat McCurry beat a mountain and 2400+ runners to win the 2005 Robie Creek Half Marathon. With temperatures around 80 degrees Pat finished the race, that goes up and over a mountain with a summitt of 5000 feet, in 1:18.05. He took the lead at about 4.5 miles and battled through severe dehydration in the last mile to win by 30 seconds. After the race he took in two IV bags of fluids.
This upcoming weeked several members of the Eastside Track Club will be competing in Eugene at the University of Oregon Invite. Brian Crowl will be competing in the Steeplechase, Tim Riley and Sean Williams will be competing in the 1500m, and Kelsey Jones will be competing in the 5000m. |

Jones, Crowl Run Personal Bests At Oregon Invitational
Eugene, OR April 23— The Eastside Track Club got several strong performances at the University of Oregon Invitational. Competing in the first event of the morning Kelsey Jones got things started off in the 5000m by running a lifetime best 17:35. She competed well through out the race, just didn’t have the legs late in the race to stay in contention for the win. On the men’s side Brian Crowl overcame a short warm up to run a lifetime best in the steeplechase with a time 9:33. In other action Sean Williams ran a seasonal best in the 1500m of 3:57 to finish 5th in his heat, also in the 1500m Tim Riley finished in 4:02. Next weekend Brian Crowl will be in Spokane for the Lilac Bloomsday 12k road race. |

Crowl, Kinch Compete In Bloomsday Run
Spokane, WA May 1— On a beautiful day in Spokane more than 39,000 runner and walkers hit the streets for the Lilac Bloomsday 12k road race. Among the entrants were Eastside Track Club members Brian Crowl and Dallas Kinch. Crowl finished the race in 42 place and just slipped under 40:00 in 39:55. Kinch overcame having to start buried in the pack and a mid race pit stop to finish in 51:48 and 482 place. The race was won by John Korir of Kenya in 34:26. |

Jones Finishes 2nd At Ken Foreman Invite, Gall 2nd, Barker-McCurry 4th At Famous Idaho Potato 1/2 Marathon
Seattle WA/Boise ID, May 14— Kelsey Jones finished second in the 5000m at the Ken Foreman Invite, hosted by Seattle Pacific University, in 17:52.3. She lost contact with the eventual winner early and was forced to run by herself for much of the race on a humid windy day. On the same day in Boise Ben Gall and Andrija Barker-McCurry competed in the famous Idaho half marathon. Ben completed the 13.1 mile course in 1:13:00.26, despite battling stomach problems and puking for much of the race. Making her half marathon debut Andrija covered the course in 1:32 finishing in fourth place.

Crowl and Jones Win Inaugural Milk Run
Meridian ID, June 18— The Eastside Track Club helped to sponsor and run the inaugural Milk Run in Meridian, and two members also took the top honors in the race. Brian Crowl won the 4k race by over a minute finishing in 12:32, and Kelsey Jones was the first female and third competitor across the line in 14:13. It great day for racing and the out and back course was fast with a lot of gradual up and down grades.
Next up for the Eastside Track Club is a road mile in Boise Idaho on Friday July 1, and Tim Riley will be in New York later in July for the Utica Boilermaker. |

Eastside Track Club Has Busy Holiday Weekend
Members of the Eastside Track Club were in action all across the Pacific Northwest over the 4th of July weekend. Andrija Barker-McCurry, Kelsey Jones, and Brian Crowl got things kicked off on Friday night with the main street mile in Downtown Boise. In the women’s open race Kelsey Jones finished 4th in 5:26.56, and Andrija Barker-McCurry crossed the line 6th in 5:34.12. This was an outstanding effort for Barker-McCurry, a relatively newcomer to competitive running, and she continues to improve and impress with each outing. Brian Crowl was the lone competitor for Eastside men, finishing 3rd in open men’s race and claiming prize money for the first time with a time of 4:26.03. This was Brian’s first competitive race after about a month and a half of downtime, and he represented the Eastside boys well. On Saturday morning Sean Williams competed in the Lostine River Run 5k and took the top honors, covering the course in 14:57. This was a good race for Sean, who exceeded his expectations by over 30 seconds. Hopefully this is a sign of him running well again in the future. Wrapping up the long weekend on Monday time Riley won the Monmouth, OR to Independence, OR race. As the picture shows he won the 2.6 mile race by a significant margin. Riley Finishes 27th In Utica Boilermaker
July 9, Utica NY— Tim Riley represented the Eastside Track Club in one of the biggest road races in the country, crossing the line in 50:07 taking 27th place. Weary of the humidity and hills over the 15k course Tim decided to implant a conservative race strategy, running the race negatively. Overall it was a good experience for him, competing in such a high caliber meet. |

Williams, McCurry Finish 1-2, Barker-McCurry Wins Miners Julilee Fun Run
July 16, Baker City OR— Sean Williams finished first and second the 3rd annual Miners Jublilee 5k, and Andrija Barker-McCurry won women’s 5k this past weekend in Baker City Oregon. The runners had to over come heat and sharp turns to best the course. |
